A UPI QR code encodes a payment link with these parameters:

upi://pay?pa=upi-id&pn=name&am=amount&cu=INR&tn=note
  • pa — Payee's UPI address (e.g., shop@upi)
  • pn — Payee name displayed to the customer
  • am — Amount in INR (optional)
  • tn — Transaction note / description (optional)
